British Associated Fellowship Of Satan
(BAFOS / BAFOSatan)
So this was a blogpost I wrote when we first launched BAFOSatan, I've hung back for a while on posting it but I think the sands have settled enough for me to post this now, as our quality membership is growing and I'm now comfortable this is for the long run... thanks for reading and welcome to new readers.

So here we are, our official launch party was on the 25th July 2023, which is also the holiday: 'Unveiling Day of The Satanic Temple'. The announcement was eventful but effective and I was extremely proud of the announcer, as it was not myself.
So now the black cats out of the bag & expected foolish behaviour has settled, let's get to it... Our original plans were to have a group associated with TST which was guided by them as recommended by upper members of my community, but with the departure of TSTUK it was obvious that something new and exciting could replace the previous group with having left a huge hole in our community with no home for friends associated with both Britain and The Satanic Temple. It was then put to us that all of our hard work would now be put in place as the only recognised TST candidate group for Britain and for members whom are associated friends to Britain, meaning you don't necessarily have to be British, you can be from anywhere and just so happen to be living in Britain, or just genuinely like our group, you're welcome to come along and we're happy to have you. The reason we're also "British Associated Fellowship..." is the fact "TSTUK" should have been: Ireland, Britain, Scotland and Whales, but instead it was only England that that acted as TSTUK, in our current political climate it only made sense to rightfully separate Britain from TSTUK. Things are in the works at the moment in regards to a real TSTUK but we'll let things play out with some new exciting upcoming events that could represent a real TSTUK. Saying this I don't blame the guys who stamped 'TSTUK' as their name, they weren't to know where we'd be politically in a few years...
In this journey I have gained such closeness with a group of amazing individuals whom I can only describe as 'the dream team', 4 really strong and amazing individuals. Yet we did loose a member as the timing wasn't right however without our friend, BAFOSatan would not be where it is today. I want to thank them for all of their hard work and trust throughout this process, they know they have a home with us if they were to ever want it. They remain an Allie of the group and they know who they are ๐ค
This journey has been one which I never ever anticipated and I just want to thank the group for being so incredibly wonderful, the hard work and many hours we've spent debating, creating, and facilitating a safe, artistic, and fun place for our members to express themselves has been a joy to watch come together. Some of us are on opposite ends of the spectrum on personality types but we really do all work so well together, though being a new group has had its challenges we always seem to take on everything together and I just can't believe I found such a group of dedicated individuals. It's been my greatest honour to accept the facilitator position of this group. We like the idea of having little hierarchy but as I've been asked in the old terminology, it means I've been granted the role as the head of BAFOSatan, which is mind-blowing to me and such an honour, let me make it perfectly clear that I'd be no where without the rest of the coven and our roles are not to be above anyone but to support the group, it doesn't make us any more or less special than anyone in the group.
So the three remaining founders are wonderful people, four with myself included in the founder's round table, or coven, I can't believe how hard they've all worked already, one of our facilitators is a talented illustrator who has designed the BAFOSatan logo and merged with my own we've started having some form of branding.
Being online is incredibly important in this day and age. A majority of our reach is online. Most of our meets are online. Most of our rituals may be online and this is due to the fact that many members are spread throughout the UK and obviously Travel is an issue. One day, it may be the fact we have a real temple that we can go to and perform our rituals and discuss our political activism as well as something which is important to me, and that getting Satanism and TST recognised under the UK law as an official religion. Are socials so far. Don't have a huge following and that's for a particular reason. We had the option to take over the last groups membership which was a 4000 people, we taking it over may have been disingenuous because it wasn't us that built the social following as well as wanting to accept members who aligned completely with our values, quality over quantity. Saying that I am very open to the idea of other Satanic folk, wanting to join TST as an Allie, it's very important to me that as Satanist we stick together, and I have noticed a certain attitude with The Satanic Temple and other Satanic groups, which is really sad and something I would like to look at changing in the future. I was speaking with a friend To whom is very heavily involved in the occult and I was extremely humbled and grateful for them to say if anybody's going to change the attitudes that are based around TST at the moment "it's going to be you" and to hear that was really something Special to me. Just because they're under the TST organisation doesn't mean that we can't act as an individual group, though we will always have our main body as The Satanic Temple due to the very basis and very philosophies that it's based on, I know a few members have left TST recently and some of them I was really upset to see go because of the potential that they've left behind, but I can't hold people back. If they want to make a decision being a Satanist, then they're entitled to, if something wasn't right for them, it wasn't right for them. However, I really want to extend this branch to say to the outside Satanic community that we're here if you wanna' work with us, we are still friends and I believe that you don't have to be under TST to work with TST. Our values most likely match as Satanists and one single individual cannot represent Satanism. The philosophy is an idea and therefore untouchable. We can still outsource from various groups and I think that this is beneficial for the community it's always good to get an outside perspective. It's always good to strengthen your knowledge by seeing all viewpoints and this is something which is important to me.
Yes, TST politically are mostly left leaning. I am personally left leaning however, I don't feel it right to silence people who are not hurting anybody else even though their viewpoints may differ. Sometimes we can share common ground in things like ritual and other community activities, it's important to note that The Satanic Temple are not a political group. It's are a religion. As long as you're respectful to others and respect our philosophy, I'm happy to call you a valued member of British Associated Fellowship of Satan.

So to keep some sort of branding and consistency we've nominated Mondays as art days, Wednesdays as our Antichrist Superstars day and Thursday as our Diablos In musica, (or we've tried to stick to these days) the posts guides are below, they show a educational side of Satanism and most of our philosophies and what we represent with the historical value of each chosen subject matter.

We're also introducing a zine this year, something annual which we can put all of our accomplishments in and have something to look back on in later years and get the community involved in so each person has the opportunity to shine, sharing their satanic hobbies, artworks, literature, book reviews, this is a melting pot of BAFOSatan, it's so exciting!
So we've already had some great events and I've personally gone and met a few members of the community, one being a reunion with Naamah whom was the first person I met in person from the TST community, Alansi also joined us at the Satanic Flea Market which was a joy! They're everything I thought they'd be (I'll be writing a review soon on the market).
I also met my absolute Chaos Twin, Loki... I had a magickal experience with them as they were kind enough to let me stay the night (thank you to Loki's partner too!) and upon my arrival had an appropriate fire, with glittering red wine, black candles overlooked by Baphomet... It was truly a beautiful experience.
So the group was born from dead ashes. Im pretty sure no one saw us rising like a Phoenix with our sheer determination and not giving up on each other as well as holding true TST values at its core.
This is finally the group we always dreamed of having! We really appreciate all of our neighbouring TST-affiliated groups who stood by us when we were independent and alone (the individuals know who they are and the groups themselves). We seem to be attracting new people who are open-minded, creative, and strong individuals, willing to overlook conspiracy theories and able to reject the tyranny of misinformation by simply asking questions which is deeply Satanic in itself and absolutely in line with our morals. We've remained strong and we are strong. We hold our group open to people who are academically intrigued by Satan and Satanism, we love to share stories of Satanism in our everyday lives and generally share interests surrounding the topic of Satanism. We are peaceful minds wrapped in an armour that cannot be pierced because though it seems stereotypical, we have each other.
On blasphemy day this year, myself and another facilitator of the group reached Ministry status, I never thought I'd get to this point. Thank you for those whom have supported me. I'm so proud of our group already.
